An Exciting Next Chapter for Gilbert & Cook

After more than 30 years of serving individuals, families and business owners throughout Greater Des Moines and across Iowa, Gilbert & Cook has announced our intention to merge with Cerity Partners, a nationally recognized independent wealth management firm, effective at the end of September.

This is an exciting milestone for our firm and one we approached very intentionally. As we considered the future of Gilbert & Cook, it was important to find a partner who shares the values that have shaped our firm since its founding—genuine relationships, sophisticated strategies, a unique client experience, and a deep commitment to helping people navigate financial complexity with greater clarity and confidence.

Joining Cerity Partners allows us to build upon that foundation in a meaningful way. Founded in 2009, Cerity Partners has grown into a nationally recognized firm with approximately $187 billion in assets under advisement, serving approximately 45,000 clients across the country. Their scale brings additional resources and specialized expertise across investment management, financial planning, tax planning and preparation, estate planning, business owner advisory, retirement planning and other areas of wealth management.
