Lauren Wilgenbusch is driven by a strong desire to serve others and make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients. As a Relationship Manager at Gilbert & Cook, she works alongside advisors to support client relationships — helping ensure each interaction is thoughtful, responsive and aligned with the firm’s commitment to a high-touch, personalized experience.

Lauren is passionate about building long-term relationships and helping clients feel confident in their financial journey. She brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her role, focused on enhancing the overall client experience and ensuring that clients feel supported at every stage.

Her interest in finance began early, sparked by a financial literacy class in high school that led her to independently explore personal finance and behavioral finance concepts. She continued to build on that foundation at Simpson College, graduating in 2024 and further developing her understanding of how financial decisions impact individuals and families.

In addition to her role at Gilbert & Cook, Lauren serves as a Sergeant in the Iowa Army National Guard, where she works as a Chinook Helicopter Mechanic (CH-47). Her decision to serve reflects a deep-rooted sense of purpose and commitment to helping others — values that carry through to her work with clients and her team.

Lauren and her husband enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible, especially on their acreage with their two labs. They value time spent with friends and family and are excited to be welcoming a daughter to their family. In her free time, Lauren also enjoys crocheting and creating handmade pieces for loved ones.
