Cara Shindler

Cara Shindler leads the strategic growth and brand development initiatives at Gilbert & Cook, helping ensure the firm’s vision, client experience and market presence are aligned and continually evolving. As Director of Business Strategy, she oversees marketing, business development and client engagement efforts — bringing together data, creativity and strategy, to support the firm’s long-term growth.

Cara is proud of the work that Gilbert & Cook does for others, and is passionate about communicating their value and connection with the clients and community. She plays a central role in shaping Gilbert & Cook’s messaging, digital strategy and overall brand experience — ensuring that every touchpoint reflects the firm’s commitment to clarity, confidence and Living a Life of Abundance®. From marketing strategy & client events to team development & referral growth, Cara focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for connection and engagement.

Her work extends beyond marketing execution. Cara collaborates closely with the firm’s leadership team to identify growth opportunities, refine client acquisition strategies and enhance the overall client journey. She brings a thoughtful, client-first perspective to every initiative — ensuring that strategy is not only effective, but aligned with the firm’s values and long-term vision.

Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying connected to the community. She values experiences that bring people together and create meaningful moments — a philosophy that carries through to both her personal life and her work at Gilbert & Cook.
