Amy Mitchell brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry to her role as Director of Operations at Gilbert & Cook. She plays a vital role in ensuring the firm delivers a consistent, high-quality client experience — working behind the scenes to support the systems, processes and team coordination that make personalized service possible.

Amy collaborates closely with the firm’s advisors, planners and service professionals to help translate strategy into execution. Her focus is on building and maintaining the operational infrastructure that allows the team to deliver thoughtful, relationship-driven service at scale. From client relationship management to process improvement and team alignment, Amy helps ensure that each client experience reflects the firm’s commitment to care, precision and excellence.

Throughout her career, Amy has developed a well-rounded background across private wealth management and institutional services, with leadership experience spanning client service, business development and operations. She is passionate about supporting a team environment where professionals can thrive — ultimately enhancing the experience and outcomes for clients.

Amy and her husband, Jim, live in Indianola, where they enjoy being close to their adult children and grandchildren. She stays active by spending time with family and friends, hosting gatherings and enjoying time on the golf course — purely for fun.
