Megan is deeply committed to advancing excellence within the financial planning profession and staying at the forefront of industry best practices through continued leadership and collaboration.
For more than two decades, Megan Rosenstiel has helped individuals and families navigate life’s most complex financial decisions with clarity, confidence and care. As Partner and Director of Advisory Services at Gilbert & Cook, she works closely with clients facing significant transitions — including divorce, business succession, retirement and multigenerational wealth planning — helping them align their financial strategies with what matters most in their lives.
Megan’s approach is both compassionate and highly strategic. She is known for her ability to simplify complexity, guide thoughtful decision-making and provide a steady, trusted presence during times of change. Her work is deeply collaborative, often partnering with attorneys, CPAs and other advisors to deliver integrated planning solutions that support long-term outcomes.
Since joining Gilbert & Cook in 2006, Megan has played an integral role in the firm’s growth and evolution. She began her career as a Relationship Manager, building strong client relationships and a deep understanding of their needs. She transitioned into a financial planning role in 2010, became a Lead Advisor in 2016 and was named Partner in 2018. Today, she serves on the firm’s Leadership Committee, where she helps guide strategic direction and mentors the next generation of advisors — reinforcing a culture rooted in service, collaboration and excellence.
Megan is especially passionate about empowering clients through education. Whether speaking at client events, leading educational seminars or participating in industry panels, she is dedicated to making complex financial topics accessible and actionable. Her areas of focus often include women and wealth, planning through life transitions and charitable giving strategies.
Clients value Megan for her thoughtful perspective, her ability to bring clarity to difficult decisions, and the genuine care she brings to every relationship. She believes financial planning is not just about numbers — it’s about helping people live more fully, intentionally, and securely.
Megan is a dedicated community advocate and is especially passionate about maternal and infant health. She and her family are deeply involved with Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and its Count the Kicks campaign — an organization she credits with saving her son William’s life. In 2024, she served as Chairwoman of the organization’s Changemakers Luncheon, helping raise awareness and support for stillbirth prevention efforts.
At home, Megan and her husband, Chad, stay active with their two children, enjoying a full schedule of sports and activities including golf, baseball, gymnastics and basketball. They also share a love for the arts and have been long-time supporters of the Des Moines Civic Center.
