RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Summary

The Relationship Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Advisor in delivering exceptional service
to clients by managing comprehensive administrative responsibilities, preparing client meetings, and
fostering strong client relationships. This position requires expertise in client service, complex problemsolving, and communication, along with the ability to be detailed, organized, and motivated in their
work.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS 

  • 2 years of proven experience in the financial services realm (financial adviser, controller, planner, specialist, banker, accountant, or related experience)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills – ability to handle multiple responsibilities and take initiative in a high-volume work environment

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply

  • Excellent PC knowledge and ability to operate database systems

  • Capability and desire to demonstrate the Gilbert & Cook Core Values

  • Preferred: CFP certification or interest in obtaining certification

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

  • Preferred: Experience in Microsoft Suite of programs with emphasis on Excel

  • Preferred: Experience with Client Relationship Management system (CRM)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support Senior Relationship Manager and Advisor in delivering services to clients through meeting material preparation, meeting attendance, post-meeting action item execution and day-to-day administration

  • This role typically supports client meetings without requiring regular attendance

  • Enhance client experience by building and maintaining strong client relationships addressing issues and ensuring timely communication for administrative inquires

  • Actively participate in a collaborative team environment designed to provide holistic client management and deliver high-quality service

  • Prepare and execute administrative responsibilities and organization of files and paperwork for client meetings, including implementation follow-up

  • Participate in client meetings and responsible for documentation of decisions and action item assignments

  • Communicate with clients regarding administrative inquiries and needs as they arise

  • Execute accurate and efficient processing of client account transactions

  • Preparing investment account and insurance paperwork including follow-up and confirmation of implementation

  • Comply with all industry rules and regulations

  • Proactively helps to resolve issues or concerns
