Megan joined Gilbert & Cook in 2006 after relocating to Des Moines with her husband, Chad. She began her career with the firm as a Relationship Manager, developing deep connections with clients and a strong understanding of their evolving financial needs. In 2010, she transitioned into a financial planning role, where she brought her analytical skills and natural empathy to the forefront. Her dedication and leadership led her to be promoted to Lead Advisor in 2016, and she became a Partner in 2018.

Today, Megan plays a key role at Gilbert & Cook not only as an advisor but also as a leader. She serves on the firm’s Leadership Committee, where she helps guide strategic decisions and supports the professional development of her colleagues. Her leadership is grounded in a belief that exceptional client service, a strong team culture, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to long-term success.

Megan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and holds several additional designations that reflect her broad expertise and dedication to serving clients with diverse needs. These include the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ (CDFA™), Accredited Wealth Management Advisor℠ (AWMA®), Accredited Domestic Partner Advisor℠ (ADPA®), and Long Term Care Professional (LTCP). She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and continues to pursue ongoing education and training to remain at the forefront of the financial planning profession.

As a member of Vistage, a national peer group for business leaders, Megan actively invests in her own growth and leadership development. Through this organization, she collaborates with other executives across industries, gaining fresh perspectives that she brings back to her clients and her team.

Outside the office, Megan is a dedicated community member and advocate. She and Chad live in West Des Moines with their two children. The Rosenstiel family is deeply involved with Healthy Birth Day, Inc. and its signature stillbirth prevention campaign, Count the Kicks—an organization Megan credits with saving her son William’s life. In 2024, she served as Chairwoman for the organization’s Changemakers Luncheon, a major fundraising and awareness event for maternal and infant health.

Family life is a joyful and busy part of Megan’s world. Between golf, baseball, gymnastics, and basketball, the Rosenstiels stay active and engaged in their children’s lives. Megan and Chad also enjoy supporting the arts and have held season tickets at the Des Moines Civic Center for over a decade, reflecting their belief in the importance of community, creativity, and giving back.

She specializes in helping people through difficult moments with care, precision, and a long-term perspective.
